This one is that GMO funky cheese smell, and it smells like Parmesan cheese, really heavy parm, almost like stepping foot into an Olive Garden and doing a coffee sniff to clear the palate. There's a little bit of sweetness on the back end, but it's mainly a funky, creamy cheese up front. It's very dried out, so brittle it snaps in my hand, with no squish retention. Breaking it up it gets a funkier pop that's a lot muskier and more rank, and it reminds me a lot of Frog, a sweeter Frog. It opened up to a lot sweeter note on breakdown, with the parm reducing itself into the back end while a sweet and savory umami note comes forward, really fruity, really funky and musky almost like a peel, and really candy, like licorice mixed in with all the sweets from the normal box. On the grind it gunks up like Frog too and turns into a powder, and the funky cheese note came right back, with the sweetness dropping to a back layer and getting overtaken by the funk. I'm sad that it diminished, since it popped so much nicer on the hand breakdown than on the grind, and it keeps to itself and doesn't smell far from the grinder.
It did not want to light correctly. It's a little bitter at first, but I can taste the creaminess, and it's burning a darker gray with a tartness to it, a bitter note that's mainly on the stain. The inhale has a really nice creamy cheese sweet, and the stain is more of an herbal, earthy coat with a strong tartness. It reminds me a lot of Bat Rabies by Doja and Higher Vibrations, just not as flavorful. About halfway it gets more expansive, burning clean and smooth, but I'm not getting much sweet, since it stays toward that funky rank creamy profile while the sweet sits stuck in the back end. In the last third it loses a lot of its flavor, still smooth with a bit of a bite on the tongue, and the stain goes away. There's a slight sweetness at the very end, but it's mainly air pulls, and I turned it off there. The ash is very disappointing, a very dark gray.
I clocked the onset at about 7 minutes, and it's the highest hitting right then, a really strong pressure that punched me in the head. The pressure keeps getting stronger into a very sleepy, chest and head heavy pressure, very expansive. It was heavy for a bit, then it diminished and I got a bit of munchies, and the tired pressure only lasted for about the first 25 to 30 minutes. It rounded out pretty evenly at the 30 to 40 minute mark, and by 54 minutes it dropped down severely and relieved itself. I wouldn't say it's fully gone, but there's no more pressure, so I'm saying it landed at around 54 minutes.
C7 is that GMO funky cheese, a heavy Parmesan nose that opens into a sweeter, muskier Frog style candy on the hand breakdown before the grind pulls it back to cheese. The smoke did not carry it, with a bitter tart stain, a very dark gray ash and a last third of mostly air pulls, and the flavor never matched what the nose promised. The high hit strong at about 7 minutes, with a heavy sleepy pressure that rounded out by the 30 to 40 minute mark and landed at about 54. The nose and the high are the best parts of this one.
