The first thing I got out of the jar was a sweet, sharp, tart, chem forward funk that reminded me of the back of the fish section at PetSmart. It wafts about half an inch to an inch off the jar, so it's noticeable without being loud. Under that there's a fruity side, like a rind sweetness, an overripe kiwi, even durian. Broken up it gets a little sweeter and stays close, and fully ground it weakens and I had to get right on it, but it keeps that swampy, limey funk the whole way. I marked this one as an interesting pick because I couldn't tell if the smell was a bad grow or just how everything collides, and it isn't the most pleasing smell for a fruit entry.
The first pull was the best one, a tropical, grapey mix that reminded me a lot of Z, and it left so much room to get better. After that it's really light on flavor, airy and earthy, with a slight sweet funk on the initial stain. I can taste the chemical muskiness of a fruit peel from the nose. Past the halfway point it turns a little tart with a citrus peel note that's honestly nice, and around two thirds it gets sweeter, like taking a bite of a fruit with some floral in there. It was the most uniform smoke I've had so far, burning clean and smooth with no harshness, no hot pulls and no grass or hay, just one bitter pinch right near the end. There's no palate coat and the stain is slight. The ash is a gorgeous light grey, and the last pulls were just air.
It clocked around 12 minutes in as a soft head high with light pressure on the eyes and upper body. Then it pulls down into a sleepy feeling that built in about 15min in. It had me stretching my upper body and legs like my muscles wanted to loosen up. If you fight it you can ride it out, and if you can't you'll probably just knock out, so bedtime is your best bet. Don't try to use this for work. It dropped at about 37 minutes, with a slow, smooth fade I almost didn't notice, and it raised my appetite a little.
This was my first interesting pick, a fruit entry with a fish tank, chem forward funk that stays close to the jar and carries over to the taste. The first pull is tropical and grapey and the rest is light on flavor, but it burns clean to the end with a gorgeous ash. The high is a soft head buzz that turns into sleepy, stretchy body pressure, so this is a nighttime strain. The nose is a lot louder than the flavor, and it's worth trying for the weirdness.
