What I got wrong
When I get something wrong, it gets fixed in the piece and listed here. The fix stays visible in the report too, so you can see exactly what changed and why.

What I said: Quoted Bueno et al. 2020 as showing opened jars lost 51.6% of their terpenes in a month.
What's right: The 51.6% came from ground extraction material at the study's other site, which wasn't part of the opening test. The jars opened twice a week averaged a 12.1% loss.
A reader went through the study and caught it.

What I said: Quoted the same 51.6% Bueno figure.
What's right: Replaced with what the study actually shows, and no single number from it is quoted any more.
Same catch as the closed-jar report.

What I said: Listed oxygen as a main cause of terpene loss in a jar.
What's right: Terpene loss is evaporation, driven by air swapping in and out. Swapping the air for argon or nitrogen in two studies made little difference. Oxygen still matters for THC turning into CBN.
Someone pushed back, and the studies backed them up.

What I said: Repeated that TerpLoc bags hold a 58–62% RH microclimate.
What's right: Pulled. In May 2026 the BBB National Advertising Division found the evidence didn't support that the bags hold 58–62% under all conditions. It did find they work as passive packaging that preserves terpenes better than normal storage.
Checked against the ruling.

What I said: "It’s common science, go look it up," in reply to a request for sources on X.
What's right: Every claim in the report is sourced, with the studies and the textbook laws linked.
Owned in the report when it was published.

What I said: "You actively have no reason to use a curidor," in the original post.
What's right: Too strong. Cold slows terpene loss between openings, and cold air holds less terpene vapor, so a cold jar loses less each time it's opened.

What I said: Labeled a study wrong partway through the X thread.
What's right: Corrected in the thread, and the right study is cited in the report.

What I said: Early wording implied flower "releases more" terpenes in fresh air.
What's right: It releases at the same rate either way. Fresh air just sends less back, so the net loss is what changes.

Updates
Not mistakes: news that changed after a piece went up.

Added that the DEA judge paused the rescheduling case in late September to consider a new GAO report.
