Nose 8.3/10

Unbroken, I get a sweet tea-like front with a sappy undertone, like an apple farm or tree sap, with an earthy and piney middle. It can be smelled about half an inch away from the jar, and the main thing it reminds me of is a hay bale ride during the fall, a really well-balanced hay note like a good harvest, at least for the front nose. Broken down, it becomes a lot sweeter, with a pop of fruit, bright berry tones and a good tartness over a soft, musky undertexture, and the earthy note lays in the back end. Ground, it's a lot brighter and warmer, and sweet, with a really nice sinus opening, minty and earthy. I can't exactly pinpoint the fruit, and I'm battling between passion fruit, grape, cherry and melon, citrus forward with a slight musk.

Taste 2.6/10

The first two pulls are really flavorful, a piny fruity coat, really musky, fruity, sweet and creamy, with the stain one to one with that first intro pull. There's a slight tartness in it, almost a bitterness, and I think it's undercured or not finished yet. By the first third it drops out its sweetness for a more musky, gassy front, loses a lot of its fruitiness and leaves only a soft palate stain. Around a third in I'm getting really musky, earthy notes, slightly airy, and a little sweetness slowly returns, but not enough to pick up anything specific, just a musky, soft, airy sweetness on the coat and inhale, almost like an airy berry. At the halfway point I get that sweet hay note I got from the smell. Taste wise it's all right, a mild hay in an earthy pine mix. The coat is probably the best thing it has going for it, a really sweet earthy citrus, sappy, almost maple mix, but the inhale kind of sucks right now. Just past halfway it gets really airy. It still has a nice little kick where I can taste the sweetness and the pine, but it's so diluted and muted from the intro, and it starts pulling hotter with a bit more burnt earth. At two thirds the last pulls are not fun: a burnt pine, burnt earth inhale over a sweet palate stain that's earthy pine, slightly sweeter, with a citrus in between. By the end it's trying its hardest to keep up with the flavor, but it's overtaken by burnt earth and burnt pine. A few pulls came through really nice, everything mixed in softly, but it's on and off, and it was so hard on the throat that I stopped there. The ash ran dark gray, salt and pepper, not the darkest of the ones I've tried but not the whitest, and it fell off by itself. It burned clean with no canoe, and it wasn't insanely dry.

High 7.7/10

Felt it at about 5 minutes. It starts really soft and really functional, a light mental pressure that's also really creative with a nice little energy boost. By the end of the smoke the pressure is building in my mind, like watching a normal movie with the bars and then the scene opens up to fill the whole screen, and I feel like I can see so much more. Nice pressure behind the eyes, a hot head high with some on the shoulders and some in the back, really nice and sociable, and I could sit here and talk for hours. The rest of the high wasn't as impressive. It stayed a very mental push, talkative and functional with a slight appetite boost, and lasted around 46 minutes.

The nose is the best part of this one. It opens from a sweet tea and hay bale ride into bright berry and a really nice sinus opening once it's ground. The smoke starts flavorful, then loses its fruit by the first third and turns earthy and piney, with burnt earth and pine taking over late and a throat so rough I stopped. I think it was undercured or not finished yet, and the ash and burn backed that up. The high is a soft, social, functional mental push for about 46 minutes. For a fruit entry I got more pine earthiness than fruit, and it left me disappointed, with a lot of room to improve
