Frog Poison (Purple Jar)

This is an incredibly sweet frog; it reminded me a lot of the original CutRight X Northbay, but really strong on the sweet candy presenting side. I know better than to just let that be the one thing I look at and say “oh yeah, this isn’t frog,” so I dug a bit deeper. Breaking it down, I get a deeper funk / sweet / limey dough. It needs some breathing room to get that exact note, and you really have to dig for it. It had me confused all the way; that’s also the main reason I chose this jar. I had an option between the blue & this one, and the purple jar smelled a ton sweeter while the blue jar smelled like plain toad. I’m a fan of the sweeter frogs, or at least not a stranger to them. So I didn’t mind it being so sweet. Grinding it gets more limey / doughy. But gets a bit quieter, which disappointed me a bit.

On taste it’s honestly really consistent; but I saw it had 2 different flavors typed depending on how big the tip was & how tightly packed. Bigger tip (13mm) I had a lot more of a sweet earthy / pine dough lime, with not as much gas. The first 1/3 being an earthy pine, before halfway switching to that doughy lime, and keeping that flavor until the end where it drops off a bit, palate stain & coat being a bit tart. But with my 11 mm the entire joint was a super doughy pepper inhale with a lime gas exhale, clean and balanced pulls from beginning to end. In bowls it also tastes just fine. Ash burns a clean white / light grey. Not harsh in any way. Consistent burn.

As I said in my good pizzza review “ This is what I expected, and I have no complaint notes” almost instantly I get a strong head high that leads into a forehead, behind the eye, shoulder, and back pressure. Heavy and gluing. And lasts; it clocked for me at around 8 min; slowly building up and dragging me down more and more. Good for nights, that’s all I can really say, I got so tired off of a bowl of joint that I’d struggle to keep taking notes, and forget at times to even write them down. 30-40 mim mark it peaks and leaves you in a bubble of pressure and sleepiness; you could snuggle up in a warm blanket and be out in no time. It keeps riding like this longer into the hour and 30 min mark where after that point it dies down. There was points where I’d feel a bit dizzy while going through the motions at certain times. Other than that, it’s what I expected.
