Frog Poison

On the first crack, straight out of the dispo, it smelled like a Boveda pack. After letting it burp for a day the smell finally showed up: a soft frog, funky swamp with a sweet lime back end. But it's so quiet compared to other frogs I've had that scream out of the jar. It lays reserved and I have to shove my nose into it to smell anything. Broken down it sits more on the limey dough than the funk, with the gassy swamp note laying into the middle of the mix. A full grind gets VERY limey and doughy, and the pop of funk is more apparent, but I still need my nose half an inch away to catch it.

A nice rep of the nose, mainly lime funk with a little tinge of earthy bitterness on the bottom of the palate coat, and that bite is noticeable throughout the joint. Pretty level, adding some more funk around two thirds while still leaning main lime. At the end I got a sharp grass and hay bite that was a bit scratchy on the throat. The dough pops up one last time and flattens the flavor to a soft, bitter "smoke," and even about 20 minutes later the palate stain is a grassy lime with a sharp burnt taste in the back end. It burns grey, pepper and gravel, and that burn consistency shows at times in the bites.

This is what I expected, and I have no complaint notes. A strong sedative high with heavy pressure on the temples, back of the ears, nose, eyes and back. Sedative and very enjoyable, the kind that melts you into your bed. It hits super quick once I get past the first quarter of the joint and stays locked in hard. By 10 minutes I'm already feeling a lot of strong pressure and getting tired, and everything gets heavy, like my pulls are dragging me to the ground. The upper body shifts to a full body high with pressure in the legs and core. It builds more in the hands at 14 minutes, which makes good motor function hard, and as I write this I'm struggling to keep my attention on what I want to say and really have to force myself to type. This is what you smoke when you're getting ready for bed, or when you go to the movies and really didn't like the pick your friends made; a joint of this and you're out in 20 minutes. It levels out around 29 minutes and keeps me calm, then ends for me around the 49 minute mark, slowly diminishing with no hard drop.
